WeÕve been getting constant requests for a good way to teach young anglers how to fish. Even with the selection of fishing shows and DVDÕs, nothing beats hands-on instruction combined with a the experience of hooking up with a good fish.

With access to a special private pond, we now offer a Western Sport Shop Spin Fishing Class that will teach you the basics and get you catching fish.

This beginning course is designed for the novice angler age 7 or older. (And we have no problem with adults taking this class, either!)

It starts with a basic introduction to fishing tackle, knots and lures, shows you how to get everything connected the right way and be ready to go fishing. Once everyone has the basics down, itÕs time to go fishing! We move right to the water and chase down the local hungry fish. Our two instructors will work directly with all students on specific needs and questions.

Focus will be on the proper presentation of different types of lures, as well as likely spots to target for effective results. Techniques learned in this class can be put to use in any fishery you are likely to encounter.

Please note - this private pond is catch and release only. All fish will be released.

Pond is located west of Petaluma. This single session class is limited to 8 students and runs from approximately 9:30 am to 1 pm on each session date.

Payment required for reservation. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Students should provide their own rod & reel with line - Please see the recommended equipment list for this class.
